So I have had my eye on this sled since the beginning of this season. 2007 Yamaha attack. My buddy got new sled and my chance to own it had come. When I got the sled it took a long time to start or fire up would just turn over, backed the sled of the truck did tip on side little seemed fine. Went out in field drove around quick stopped at friends. Quick. I didn’t let sled warm up wasn’t thinking as this was first 4 stroke. Sled has 8996 miles. He said let me here it rip got out in powder and pinned it few times, Track was thwapping little thudding sound, soon after the sled would turn over but took while to
Fire. I don’t think the track has anything to do with the problem, might just be the way 2” paddle track, finally got sled running one last time and when to the house. Snow bank in the way so one more pin and stood it up Then parked and shut off. Since I shut it off it will not run.
Does the stator create spark?
when it went on my grizzly 700. machine was great until the battery got low just like a car would do with bad alternator, so like to rule stator out for no spark
No power to relays or no relays kicking on Fuel pump won’t kick on but can jump it.
no spark only checked one cylinder ordered new coil waiting on part,
Sled in now in the garage torn apart! Bearing and sensor look good took it off and cleaned it, checked all the ground blocks after reading that was. Big issues with these sleds,
Also codes 13 15 20 85 84 23 where some of the codes. I was getting. Always switching as I worked on it now I’m down to three 13 84 85 witch is the tors I can get this to go away by holding throttle. Making me thing ecu is ok being it picks things up as they change.
I put new plugs in it. Stripped the wiring harness back, way back this is what I found
1 under the seat. The fuel pump wire had got chewed and or rubbed on the metal part of the tank. there was also one patch from
another persons fix so be sure to check here! would this burn the wire and make low voltage issues as the code says low voltage short or ecu
2 digging deeper i found last cylinder starting 1 on clutch side 4 by radiator not sure if this is firing order. on # 4 plug closest to the fill tank for radiator the wires touched. wondering would this fry the coils? or the ecu or burn the stator or all the above?
3 was one burned wire in a ground block. cut all and wired together all 7 of then also cut 3 of the 5 or more ground blocks.
