Any issues with nylon (plastic backers ) for 1.325 track studs..?
I mean any negatives compared to the aluminum washer type..?
I'm going to replace the ones on my RTX and wanted to go with
nylon backers.
Right now there are square aluminum backers on and they are turning and beginning to damage the track lugs. So I'm going to start fresh with new studs and nylon backers..
Your thoughts please.
Thanks!

I've run nylon ones for years..they are lighter...but will break easier...
as to the aluminums ....most important is size of stud head...and backer size when you have longer stus...make sure they are indexed properly...either way...I believe in using a tall nut..
I have some nylons for chaep if you need

I've used plastic backers on my last 3 sleds including my 07 RTX. Only 2 studs pulled thru in 3000 miles on the RTX. No bent studs either.

I run the square alum. backers and haven't touched one in 3000 miles. I like the square because I thought it would be easy to see one that is coming loose but so far so good.
