Just a question to throw out there. Anyone know why a 2007 attak would be about 15 kmh faster than an 06? Both are stock but the 06 has different carbides on it. They are anti-jetting (or something) Mine is the 06 and I was wondering if anything else is different. I didnt put the carbides on, (prev owner did). Would they slow it down?

I owned a 06 Attak & traded to a 07. The 07 is faster but not 15k worth. More transfer will slow down top end as will loosened off limiter straps.

The 07 I was talking about was mine too actually but it was stolen. By limiter strap, do you mean that strap by the front of the track?
yes timmy that would be it

Way to welcome a new member "Blacky"!
I would say.... welcome TIMOTHY to one of the best sledding sites available. Sorry for the sarcasm you received so early on.... it is not what you can expect from most of the members here.
The limiter strap is located at the front of the skid and can be shortened or lengthend as you desire. There are a lot of speed tricks/adjustments to be made. I would suggest doing a search if you have not done so already and see what you come up with.

Thanks alot for the info. My attak is my upgrade from an 84 440. Its quite a bit different! I want to be able to keep up to most sleds out there. I appreciate the help!

The riser will fit without a need to extend cables. My bars are about 2" taller than stock by adding the Isovibe. There was no need to add a throttle cable extension. I did however re-route some cables.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I appreciate the help!
Hi Timothy, I have the mountain riser on my 07 attak gt... the cables are long enough if you leave off the gold cable bracket on top of the riser. There's only one inch difference, but I can tell the difference, and enjoy standing more...
good luck, and welcome aboard,
