Spring Identification. I am working on my wife 2007 phaser FX. I removed the tank, airbag and all side panels to replace plugs, oil filter and change oil. I discovered a small spring that I am not sure where it came from. It was sitting on the right side foot board.

I am also wondering if anyone know the part number for the oil drain plug on the oil pan? The one I removed was stripped out by the previous owner.

Any thoughts on oil filters?

See picture of the spring.

Man, I cant think of a spring that small that would end up on the running board from taking plastics off.

Do you mean the bolt in the oil tank?

Could is there a spring that would go on the gas line connector, see picture?

The bolt I am looking for is from underneath the machine, it has a hex head with what would appear to be a flat head screw driver head.

There isnt a spring on the fuel line to the tank/pump. I just went out and looked at both of my phazers in various states of disassembly. I just cant see where that would have came from.

Maybe the fuel tank breather as a way to keep it from being kinked? My phazer with the stock breather doesnt have it but that doesnt mean it wasnt lost a long time ago?

Now that I am in the shop on the computer, I can pull the parts fiche up. There isnt a spring on the breather line, and that spring is too small to be for the headlight. I'm stumped

Only spring I can think of that looks like that is on the parking brake caliper.

x2 on what mooseman said. that is what that spring looks like.

I'm sure the OP figured it out long ago, but having said that...

I didnt have a quarter on me to take a pic, but that is exactly the right size for it to be the parking brake caliper spring(s). Did you remove it or was that a 'find' from a past "where the hell did that spring go?"

Thank you for the bolt information.

Could the spring be something from throttle body? When I pulled the

I was finally able to get back to this project.

So the spring, see picture. Is this the parking brake spring you are referencing? I didn't intentionally pull the spring off the parking brake. I took the machine removing the gas tank, body panels, spark plugs, air-box and accidentally removed the throttle body from the head. I was walking around the machine and happened to notice the spring laying on the floorboard.

I am actually looking for a different bolt. See other image.
