Hello,
I had Yamaha's for several years then I made the decision to swith to a 2007 Doo Blizzard 800. Nice sled but it is very busy, cramped etc...
I now have a deposit on a 07 Attak GT.
So my question is based on my Rev experience what kind of ride can I expect on the Attak compared to the Rev?
Thanks,
Aaron

More comfort, I have put a few miles on my cousins 2007 rev and I hate the seating position, it does not compare to my apex for all day comfort.

Hi Bowhunter,
How about the "busy" front end of the Rev versus the Apex?

My brother has a 07 600 rev, so i have a lot seat time on both sleds. I have a 07 rtx. The first thing you will notice is the lack of bite in the corners compared to your rev. With stock skis the apex's just cant corner as well as a rev. I think its a combination of skis and weight of the apex's.Other than that i prefer the apex for seating position and it feels like a big cadilac out on smooth trails. The ride is comparable between the two with niether one much better than the other. I have trouble going fast through the woods on the rev because they feel almost too resposive, but my brother feels the same about the apex because he has no confidence in the cornering , he doest trust the sled is going to bite. You just have to adjust your riding style with apex. You have to weigh the outside ski in turns and also use the engine braking to plant the skis. For smooth trails i think the yamaha cant be beat, but rough tight ones the rev is better . Even though the rev does some things better i know you will love the yammi when you get used to the handling differences. Good luck.

If you want a nice big seat like a chair people like the rev if thats what they are use to . The rtx seat is more narrow and not as soft. Also I agree with TJRTX the rev steering response is alot better than the APEX but after you put miles on you learn how to control the sled as every sled is different and you have to learn how it handles.Make the adj. to the APEX that you find on this site and a few add ons and its alot better than stock. The consistent power of the APEX the rev has no comparison and not even close IMO as smooth . My friends all ride doos as I'm the only one smart enough to buy YAMAHA LOL so I have alot of seat time on the rev and you learn every sled has its good points but you find out some have more and IMO the YAMAHA is the winner . The seat on the ATTACK I belive is wider than the RTX also so it might be alittle better.
