just wondering what wheel kit everybody is using on the 07 rtx to prevent slider wear i've got 944 miles on mine and going to be putting on the 3rd set of sliders just wondering whats up!!is everybody having this problem please post going to dealer tommorrow thanks

I just used the marginal snow wheel kit to small wheels mounted in the bend in the front of the slide rail. 600 miles and still look good even after riding crap trails in newberry last week end about 200 miles on the trails and 200 miles of forest roads. the look the same as they did after the first 200 mile ride in good conditions.

ru serious ??

my 07 RTX has 4000km's with original hyfax on them... they seem like they are not even 50% done... not at the wear limit even.

sorry to hear you are puttin on 3 sets already no snow ?

cheers

37 miles on my 07 rtx the first night i bought it and the hyfax were gone. i installed 3 of the small yammy wheel kits that they swell. one up front and 2 spaced out in front of rear idlers. i call it my 18 wheeler now.lol. my hyfax are great after 800 miles of hard pack, low snow roads and high speed, hard pack river runs.

Do you have any pictures you can post of the ones at the front?

RTx99,

Where are you slides wearing? Front? Near rear axle?

FYI, I installed Yamaha's "optional" 3rd pair of idler wheels. These mount on the inside a little behind the outer idler wheels.

I have had no problem with hyfax wear where the track touches the ground, but I am having wear issues at the curve.

Sounds like they mount close to where my hyfax broke on my sled. Have a look at the 4th picture in this thread:

Do these mount to a cross bar or are they stand alone, each mounted to a rail?

Is this the kit?

Something like this?
