Hi,

I have a couple questions that i'm hoping you guys may be able to help with.

Just got myself an 08 RTX a few weeks back with 1630km on it. It has a mild tweak to the left front but a friend and I have been unable to figure out the source. On the left side, there is slightly less space between the front of the upper left A Arm and the shock than on the right. The right side is normal with the shock right in the middle of the upper A Arm. The left side issue shows the usual symptoms such as the ski is ever so slightly further forward and the spindle is slightly more raked back.

The A Arms look straight even using a laser level. The spindle does not look bent and there is no evidence of bends or tweaks to the subframe. I am at a loss as to the source. Hoping you guys may have some suggestions on the likley cause. Some pics are below.

One other question. I am the 3rd owner and the guy I bought it from knew very little about Phazers. I suspect the 1st owner rode it pretty hard. We jsut noticed the upper A Arms are different at the outer edge. Can anyone tell me if these are stock or if one has been replaced?

Thanks very much for any guidance

Put a straightedge on upper a-arm I bet its bent.Get yourself a good piece of oak and bend it back by prying between upper and lower arm.Interesting catch looks like they reinforced upper a-arm.Need to add that to list.

Same issue here on the MTX. The right shock is closer to the front of the a-arm then the left. My first guess was subframe, haven't looked into it as I don't ride that sled much and she didn't even notice until I pointed it out. It's been that way since the first year, I rode it pretty hard and the stock shocks would slam down like a ton of bricks. Since, I've replaced all shocks and plan on changing the front end to something... well different. I would suspect the subframe, I noticed a difference in alignment between the two sides were the tubes mount to the side castings. Let us know if you figure it out.

Your pics just popped up, looks like you have one revised (newer) a-arm, in fact it looks like the ones form the 09' Nytro but can't say for sure. If you look at the way the rod end is mounted it looks as though one would lean the spindle fore and the other aft, thus the difference is shock spacing.
