Anyone have any issues with the hand warmers on the 2008 Vector LTX? I have to use chemical hand warmers in my mitts to keep my hands warm. I will be bringing my sled back to the dealer next week to have the problem checked out. thanks for any info.

Ever since they came out with that chassis and the hooked bars hand warmers have been an issue.Look at the apex/attack forum it's been a complaint since the 06 models.

Thanks for the reply Trucknut. I have been reading the Apex forum about the hand warmer problem, but I though that was for the 06 and 07 Apex. I was wondering if other people with o8 sleds are still having hand warmer problems. Will have to wait to see if the dealer will have a solution next week. Time for Yamaha to step up to the plate and deal with the problem.

I bought a 08 ltx for my wife. She is complaining about the handwarmers as well. Her 05 Vector kept her hands good and warm. I put a set of skins gauntlets on and she likes those but still cold. My 06 attak sucked on the warmers until I got the 07 bar update. I didn't put the bars on as they were really not much better than the stock bars. I left my stock bars on and put in the 07 harness which puts out some serious heat. I never go over half on the heat setting and have never had any ECU issues after 3000 miles. I think the answer is to put 06 bars on with the current 08 harness (I like them better anyway) and see if you get the same results as I did with my Attak.
Other than the handwarmers...the 08 Vector is a sweet sled.

I take it you ride north of Iron River. One of my favorite spots. We are there almost every week. Stay at Deer Trail Lodge down in Delta. Maybe we'll meet on the trail some day.

Have you tried the o6 bars on your wife's sled yet? My sled is going back to the dealer Tue to see if he has a solution to the problem. Will ask him about the 06 bars.
I ride out of Bayfield Riders Woodside Cottages in Bayfield and mostly ride north of hwy 2. We put on 213 miles yesterday
and the state trails and forest roads were hard and fast.
Now that I have the suspension tuned in (thanks to the posts on tolallyamaha) it is an awesome sled.
Ride safe.
