- 2008 Yamaga FX Nytro
Looking For Answers:
I recently purchased a 2008 Yamaha FX Nytro and I've had nothing but problems. The sled will start and run great for short duration of time ( between 15 minutes to 30 minutes) depending on riding or idling time. The sled will die and will not start again for approximately 45 minutes. I hear the fuel pump kick on with the key turn but the engine just turns over with no start. Once the sled sits for the 45 minutes it will start as though nothing happened, run for a short time and die again. This is a very frustrating situation and I have no idea where to start. I've changed the plugs and checked all wiring with nothing being found broken or corroded. The fuses are good and I have had my cousin check the radiator fan to see if its operational and it is working. No lights illuminate on instrument cluster either. If anyone has advice or ideas I would greatly appreciate the feedback. If you have further questions feel free to Private message me or reply to this thread. I'm not a mechanic by any means so please be patient as I may not know all the answers but I am willing to do my best to give as much info as I can.
Sled has 2370km
Thank You.

when it dies, does it have spark? Is it getting fuel? Is it getting air...
Like Tom ask— does it have spark after it dies— kinda sounds like stator issue as it gets hot and opens losing spark but I don’t know of this being a issue.... check for spark next time it dies...Tod

Next time it dies do an ohm test on the pickup coil.

Sounds like the injectors are losing signal. Instructions for diagnostic mode are in the link already sent to you. You can test the injectors, fuel pump relay, fuel voltage ect. You can also get history codes. Note that you should turn the key off and start over for each test.
