I see Fix Powersport sells a "Mid-wheel" kit, and also Yamaha OEM sells a marginal snow kit. Is anybody using these? are they the same thing? Do they really help with Hyfax wear?

I have their MID and FRONT wheel kits...they will save your sliders on these areas.
you can get replacement wheels(2.75") when you need to replace the rubber....also they come with replaceable bearings(5/8" ID) http://www.mfgsupply.com/m/c/04-116-62.html?id=SC3ABJmI
I like them.

I have the OEM mid kit mounted on mine. They do seem to help. Same as above, I have them mounted on the inside as well. The OEM lets you mount them on the inside or outside the rail.

little wheels
they work to some extent but you have to check the bearings more offen as they spin much more than bigger ones

I have them on my 07' Attak and have over 4,000 miles on the hyfax that is currently on and they look almost new still so yeah I say they work.
I had them mounted on the outside and then moved them to the inside but they didnt last running over the studs. Bought new wheels and moved them back outside. Mine are the Yamaha mid mount wheels. Fix kits cost about 20.00 more.
