Looking at a couple of 09 LTX's. I currently have an 06 Attak that is set up well and close to 10K mileage. If I keep the 06, I have a low mileage driveshaft to replace the old one before it snaps, everything else is good. I cant see where there was much improvement to the 09 that would make this worth wile except they have low miles.
Were the handwarmers fixed on the 09 and any change to the mono?
Would prefer the 11 XTX but staying on budget. Would the 09 be worth the time or wait for a 2010 with the mono 2 or another year and get an XTX?

The 09 has the rear heat exchanger, so it runs cooler than the 06. The 09 has a smaller fuel tank. by about 3 liters.Looking at a couple of 09 LTX's. I forgot about the rear exchanger. Didn't know about the fuel tank though.

Really?? Never heard of that one. I know the EPS sleds have smaller tanks.. The 09 has a smaller fuel tank. by about 3 liters.

The 09 will have better grips as in they have heat down the hook. Still need Yamaheaters to get real heat out of them. It will also have a beefed up front susp arm over the 06.
There are also some small refinements in the motor over the 06.
If you find a'10 it will have the stronger driveshaft.

In 08 capacity dropped as yamaha added a liner to tanks. Same shape just little less capacity. An 06-07 tank will fit right on an 08+. I have about 30 in barn of anyone wants one! Ha. $25

Thought of a few perks to the 09 vs 06
stainless y pipes
updated chain case cover with extra bearing for driveshaft.
extra muffler bracket to help support exhaust in tunnel
Heavier radiator mount tabs with rubber grommet isolators

Would like one but don't need as I am staying on budget as I only get to ride basically on Saturdays only with the wife 150-=250 miles a day. Getting hard to justify the expense.
