2009 Big Moose Shoot Out

Everyone is welcome,the more the merrier,just to reaffirm you must do the trail ride to be eligible to win the cheeseburger . I should have some extra t-shirts also
After all , who would want to miss this gathering of snowmobiling's finest.

Just a reminder NO CRY BABIES If there is something about this little party of ours that would offend you or you don't agree with DON"T COME. We are only here to have fun, raise a little he11 and drink some beer's when we are done

Great! Now if I can just arrange for a big boosted Doo to show up to mess with grassracer2001... LOL!
 
That would be great to see a boosted doo show-up, I know of a couple of the z1 turbo's that are supposed to be there. Will make for a well rounded day

I should just focus on my own junk otherwise i'll have to resort to sitting in a plastic toboggan tied behind BigMooseTurbo's sled with a pair of pizano cutting torch goggles and a scarf... maybe borrow Joe Webber's xsmall condom to tie up the jewels?

I have no problem with them coming up to run, but f or the shoot out you must ride in the trail ride for braggin rights, thats all this really is anyways, Hell I will line up with them after our race is done. And I am sure any of the top 5 would line up with them as well. Its all fun anyways!!!!!

I will look again for mark this weekend coming for I will be up there doing clutching, If I see him I will pass the word!!! He should bring his sled again. I think I got some competition for him this year!!!

Like my dad said last year,"that should smack the bee hive a bit"

LAST I talked to my BROinLAW MARK, he will be doing the trail ride..
To hell w/ the speed track and Chi$el$.. mabe the 110 octane wont be in there from the shootout..overkill.

You see NO tral riding patrons running across the shutdown/and or issues on Big MOOSE?..too late to ride to 4th lake.?
 
Whats wrong with Big Moose Lake? Right now the idea is go to big moose, but like last year the conditions were not the best so we made due on 4th lake.

Same will go for this year lets see where the best track is and go and take it over

Stay flexible...BIGMoose may be a BIG problem, thats all. Last week it was like the Wild West..sleds all over the place in each direction w/ multiple entrances/exits (Glemmore/BigMoose Inn) that had 2up sleds 25mph-ing in front of 100 mph guys. . I know I almost t-boned a guy puling a uturn in front of me @ 90mph on the brakes.
BTW ?..HAS anyone informed either establishments of your intention?..
 
I also have a question...If this a trail race will there be at least a lane or 2 for trail riding sleds ??? Seems to me that if you scrape off all the snow down to ice that it now becomes an ice race !!! I run the trails all weekend, Every weekend with the sled I'm bringing and would like to race on trail conditions (snow) I think that's the idea here right??? Or no

The shoot-out will take place on hardpack snow ,not an ice track this is a trail sled shoot-out , there will be no grooming of the start line, conditions will be fair to all,
Start will be the drop of a glove if you jump the drop it will count as a loss ;)!
 
Caveman, is that TurboMarks old sled in your signiture? And like my dad just said, this will be on hard pack, no Ice.
 
I have spoken to steve at the glenmore, and he said no problem, But he did inform that he or the people he knows will not be plowing the lake, Just said it isn't worth the days of work for the return.

Slickers.... we will be out of the area before they open. I spoke to them last year and they could have cared less what any one does.

Bobd1950, last year you climbed all over this event saying all sorts about liability issues and all, Please don't be involved if that is going to be the attitude again.

I understand last year was in the past.
But please join us if I am wrong on the outlook you have. But do speak up before hand and don't wait for it to be done and over before saying negative things.

Nah, Bob is just pointing out the traffic concern he experienced last week and that's OK, those stains will wash out of his skivies.
You can get that in any high traffic area, though. Heck yesterday I think I inadvertantly forced a grandma to fill her Depends, as well... Ppffss. But I was the first one to the bottleneck!
I am sure that pokey riders will steer clear of our shenanigans with the crowd that will be gathered...

Speaking of... Bob are we gonna do breakfast the morning of at Hard Times again this year ? BTW, say hi to Scott for me...
 
Maury, Bob, anyone else, we will need all the help we can get to hopefully keep other sledders out of our path, Last year we had guy's posted at the finish area waving people away. seemed to work also I understand what your saying with the people coming down out of the Inn. Maybe I'll bring some caution tape and tape off the track end towards the Inn to steer them away.
Any where we go we are going to have to contend with the traffic.
We'll just do the best we can
 
Good idea, could run caution tape strung between sleds if we have to. That, or BB guns...
