I just rode my brand new Nytro in to work this morning on 12 inches of Fresh Pow in Madison Wisc. Guess what, about 6 miles into my 10 mile ride noticed that inside my Left Trukke Boot, my foot is wet? I thought Yamaha fixed this? Also, it's a good thing I bought new Klim Gloves this year because I can't even feel my handlebar warmers. What is going on? How can a $10,000 snowmobile have little Gremlins like this? Other than that, I now have 50 miles on it and it is a blast!! I do need gas already but my first ride I was breaking it in like I stole it. Plus the deep today took it down fast, so not worried about that yet. But, anyone else getting the wet left foot on the 09's?

I can't speak for the 09's but I had the plate installed on my 08 RTX this year. Put 200 miles on last weekend and my leg was bone dry, which last year after 200 miles would have been and was soaked. Dont know why yours is still doing it if it fixed it that good for me?

Do yourself a favor and start sealing up the seams and plugging a few of the holes in the belly area. My buddy has a 09 SE and after about 115 miles, no wet boot.

If you want dry feet and warm hands stay in the house next to the fire! This is a Winter outdoor sport, you might get wet and cold at times. My Wife has 1200 miles on her 08 Nytro and she never ever complained about cold hands or wet boots. I'm glad My Wife doesn't complain as much as the big babies on these forums do.

yah......same with a new car, who would expect dry feet and steady heat from the vents....! its a new sled, i kinda get his point. Although, its fun working and fixing some of the little stuff as we all learn how are sleds are put together.

I'm not a baby! I'm not a baby!! I'm not a baby!!!

You're a baby!

No backs.

Another solution is buy some quality boots and bibs. You spent 10 grand on the sled so now its time to get rid of the Walmart boots and snow pants.

It has to do with blazing the trail first. My RU outside boot on the left soaked my sock after 30 miles. Hand warmers had to get turned down to 1/2. Love everything thing else so far.

Don't think your the only one with a wet left foot and no handwarmers like some will lead you to believe. Here in Saskatchewan the only time you turn the warmers anything below full is in the summer time. Get yourself some 06 apex warranty return handlebars and warmers and plug em in. Most of us that installed last year are still smilin about that fix.
The left wet foot, upgrade your clothing .

hey JDS1000, now your complaining, why don't give the guy a break, he just asking for some help on an issue he should not have.

Idk I understand being frustrated but man i see the wet foot thing but my foot inside my boot necer gets wet and i dont even have that nice of boots (baffins) I also bought the big team Gauntlet gloves and cant wear them i were the team sno cross gloves and the hand warmers still burn my hand. mustve got a good 08

All this wet boot and cold hands stuff is nothing new and its not just with Yamaha. This stuff started with the Rev. The Rev also had the wet left boot problem and not only cold hands but cold everything. These are results from rider forward sleds. The more forward you are the more into the elements you are and also with these rider forward sleds you are closer to the engine and clutch. Thus you will feel the heat from the engine and the melting snow will end up on your legs. I also get a kick out of the guys who say that their sleds feel front heavy and dart when off the throttle! Well guess what, not only is your engine over the ski's but now so is your fat azz!! We all want rider forward sleds but We don't want to deal with the drawbacks of these sleds and yes there are drawbacks. Sorry if I'm not sypathetic but all this whining about little stupid stuff gets really old after reading it a thousand times.

I feel Ya JDS you EVERYONE who knows anything KNOWS all this stuff before they by the D@m Sled I wish we could tone the i dont wanna say complainin down because u pay good money for these Sleds

I dont know what the hell you guys are crying about on this site I have a 2009 FX Nytro RTX SE and I dont have any of the problems you guys talk about the handle grips cant keep them full blast because hands get way to hot no wet boot the only thing with this matchine is you need to get a pair of good skis.yamaha did a excelent job with this sled. its every thing I was looking for in a sled minus the skis
I agree. No wet foot. Hand warmers need to be kept off high or else my hands feel like they're burning through my gloves. I guess I can't give a real opinion on the whole wet foot thing because I have Klim boots which are absolutely amazing.
