Hey Guys,
Last night I was riding with a couple of friends and We came to a stop and his nytro shut off and would not restart?? It cranks the motor over and once in awhile it will fire for a second the kick off. It was about -10 out with the wind chill, and I didnt have any problems with my nytro. Does anyone recommend where I should start to look first for the problem. He did just get gas before it shut off, and I pretty sure I can hear the fuel pump running. Thanks for the help.

Sounds crazy, but maybe he put diesel in? I've seen it before. The way to tell is when it fires, it will puff an abnormal colour of smoke out the exhaust.

No Cause we got gas at the same pump and mine was ok.

I would bet frozen line, I would bring it in to thaw and see if it passes. If it still wont fire, I would give it a squirt in the airbox to see if it fires

Well, gave it some heat and put it on the battery charger . Gave it a couple fuel pump cycles fired right up. Im thinking fuel relay

How is a relay that is on and working going to freeze in the off position????? not what they do...most likely ice in line etc....

I’m going to chime in on this because it happens to be my sled we are talking about. So all the fuel has been changed with new fuel and have half a container of seafoam in it. Also changed the fuel relay with the red one. Tonight I noticed when I started it I would let it run for about 30secs after the warm up light would go off. When I tired to Restart it, nada! Turns over fine, just won’t fire. Could this be the battery? In going to load test it tomorrow. Also any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Also I wanna add there is a power commander installed on this sled with a full excell exhaust and k&n air cleaners.

Start with basics... any codes? Can you hear the fuel pump cycle? Spark?

There are no codes, yes the fuel pump cycles. As for spark, im checking that tomorrow and I’ll update you. Thank you
