want to put a different exhaust on my nytro. Is there one that is mostly above the tunnel so I can block it off sick of the ice build up.

there would be so many things that would need to be changed to make the exhaust mostly above tunnel. tunnel, gas tank, seat, and plastics would all need to be reworked.
if you are wanting more free flowing exhaust there are a lot of vendors that sell exhaust systems. another thing you can do is get an exhaust block off plate to cover most of the open areas that are under the tunnel. adding a cooler will also melt the ice buildup a lot.

I have the excell seat and exhaust combo. Its actually a skinz seat. With the seat it actually comes up and out of the tunnel sooner than most and allows a block off plate. I also have a 1 3/4 backcountry track and for that I removed the tunnel protecters and that helps a lot!!!

I was tired of the icing as well. After pondering the situation and reading many posts I removed my tunnel protectors and made my own custom block off plate with stock exhaust. Formed it to match the contour of the muffler and extends forward a few inches past the opening in the tunnel. Used a soft faced hammer and a stool to form a pcs of 16 gauge aluminum. I see hardly any ice build up now.
NytroJo, if you can, please post a picture. I also have ice problems. It is a 1.75 back country with tunnel protectors removed and a mountain heat exchanger near the front of the tunnel. The front of the tunnel was clear, but the last 32 inches which is exactly from the muffler to the back bumper was a solid block of ice over 4 inches thick. I am thinking of installing approximately 15 X 32 inch 2mm plate aluminum suspended about an inch under the muffler and cover the bottom side with blueskin, the stuff you use on your roof for eaves starter. Slick like goose...., I am anticipating that nothing will stick to that stuff, nor should the blueskin ever fall off. Once its laid, its there for keeps. Not sure when this will happen, but it will, but if someone beats me to it, please post the results.

I like this idea I have some blue skin at work and it's even yamaha blue. Ha ha. I will be trying a test piece this weekend. I have tried 6 mill poly and it worked pretty good but hard to keep on and not that long lasting. I will be putting a cover over my undertunnel exhaust this summer when I start my mods
