2009 Nytro XTX Suspension Help

How did your suspension look on the ground?
 
also those hygear spacers does that physicallyl make the suspension stiffer by restricting the coiled part of the spring compressing to a smaller dia? I thought it was more for heavier ppl that needed more spring without having to buy different springs. im 190lbs in gear.

You can lift the suspension by putting in overload springs.

I'm no expert on this but the way I look at it is that they would allow the spring to do what the spring was intended to do. Without them there is probably in the neighborhood of 2" of slop (delta between inside torsion spring diameter and outside diameter of mounting point translating to approx 2" side to side or approx 1" off center that the suspension can travel without even touching the spring [previous statement is conceptual and probably not 100% true)) that has almost nothing to do with spring performance. (BTW...I've got some on the way for my XTX....)
 
Does anyone have a pic of the hygear suspension spacer on their Nytro XTX showing what exactly it does for the sled ...my sled is sagging as well and was wondering if this is indeed a fix for this problem

That is a pic of the hygear spaceers but what I was looking for is a pic of a sled with these on it and how it lifts the machine up...tnx anyway
 
In a week or so I should have some pictures for you....
 
maybe do a before and after. a couple different ways. like lifting it and setting it down gently, picking it up a couple inches and dropping it, sitting on it and getting back off it. before and after for each or a measurement before and after at the rear bumper.
 
Back to the dolly's, you can't evaluate your suspension on the dolly's period. Not trying to be a jerk but you just can't. The suspension was designed with the thought of the entire ski and skid coming into contact with the ground, The dolly's pinpoint the pressure to one little area changing the geometry of the entire system.
 
Hygear install made no difference in suspension height on my sled...probably because I already had the star suspensions installed which among other things eliminates a lot of stock skid friction. Having said that, it is obvious that the spacers will help torsion spring performance based solely on the elimination of between 1 - 2" slop in the OEM configuration....this 1 - 2" slop is dead space where the spring can move around without working...

I'll post pics once I get them off the camera...

Both pictures are pre-installation (post-installation looks the same)....

The first pic is after lifting the suspension and then releasing (look at the gap (pretty much non-existent) between the star swing arm immediately above idler wheel).

The second pic is after getting on the sled, jumping up and down and then getting off the sled (look at look at the gap (bigger but still pretty much non-existent) between the star swing arm immediately above idler wheel.

Install was a breeze....raise rear end a few inches, release torsion springs, remove 2 rear suspension bolts, loosen allen set-screw on collar, pull off idler, spring washer, torsion spring, plastic protector (I didn't realize this was there the first time and couldn't install the spacers...called hygear, checked fiche and figured it out the second time), install spacer, install torsion spring, install spring washer, install idler wheel, install collar, tighten set-screw, repeat for other side, lower rear suspension, align axle and install/torque suspension bolts (blue locktite), load torsion springs and you are done....about 1/2 hour.
