2009 XTX TUNNEL PROTECTORS MISSING

I am studding my track and my friend says where are your tunnel protectors, he thought that they were standard....I have protectors up frt by cooler but nothing on top of tunnel or bottom side .... I have read that some people have taken them out to help on the icing up issue , I have Schmidt Bros close out pannel ......my question is, does Yamaha make a protector kit or do I have to go and buy all individual parts to install from Yamaha or does somebody else make a kit ?

Previous owner cut them out like many have to help reduce ice in the tunnel. Good luck getting them back in there, they were a PIA to get out.

AMEN to that ! Two more rivets and mine are out intact. I might ask BAKOWBOY if he's interested in them but then I could never go back. On the other hand I never studded my 1.25

I have a set that is properly taken out by drilling out all rivets. Let me know if you what to buy a set. they are not back at all to put in or take out. take off seat, entire exhaust, and aluminum panel below the hear header pipes.
