Not to sound negative, but wow is that a crappy ten day forecast. Barely getting to freezing and mid-40's during the day isn't good.

We wish it was only mid-40's.........I live 16 mi. south of the Comfort Inn and I've got bright sun and FIFTY-FREAKING-ONE at 4:45 in the afternoon.... Oh well, there's always the bar

Hey Tom...so does this mean Demo rides no matter what? I'm fine with dragging my sled out to the woods, but will Yamaha?
I really wanna ride the 2011

On a side note, I might be looking to borrow/rent/buy a set of bibs, or bibs and coat for the weekend. Wes sold his sled a year or so ago, and his gear went with it. He's a bit bigger than I am, and I don't think what I have will fit. We're still looking, but if anyone out there has anything... pm or call me?
Nate...you stil coming and how big is he? I may have a set of Bibs he can use

Right now, there is nothing that says its canceled... we can always move it to the plains for that day... on top of that... a trail report on the base conditions from Muni north would be nice.

Fishweb says base is good on the Grand Maris trails and will be groomed as long as it drops to freezing at night.

I can give you a trail report as of Friday and Saturday.
I rode from just north of Manistique on Friday and Saturday. I went to Wetmore, Melstrand, Seney, Grand Marais, etc... The trails north of M-28 are in still rather good shape considering the warm temps. They are grooming every nite in Seney, Grand Marais. The Manistique club is grooming north of the Jack Pine to Shingleton. Not sure if they are stil grooming west towards trail 7 or not.
Trail 8 from 94 to Wetmore was getting beat up. They groom that in the day and it does not set up like a nite groom would. But there is still snow on the trail and that is a good thing!
The Kingston Plains trails were in great shape. Going off trail is getting tricky. Stumps starting to show and the base has softened to where you fall thru and not ride on top.
Getting into the towns for gas or food is getting challenging, but you can still do it. Some snirt, dirt, pavement. Spring riding conditions for sure.
If we do not get alot of rain between now and this weekend, the riding north of M-28 will still be okay to good to great.
I do not think we have too much rain in the forecast if any.
Hope this helps.

I was really surprised how well the trails have held up this weekend, saw groomers out all day saturday.
Just like it was said getting in and out of town is BAD! Gettting from the comfort to trail 8 rail grade was bad. Still plenty of snow to ride, you just have to get to it.
