i will also be keeping an eye on the weather and making last minute decision.
Don't let the weather scare you away! We will be fine! Last year on our last day it was 54 degrees outside. Made for a great tailgate party!

Mark....thou shalt not doubt you again.....
lol... You can trust me Buddy!

Great weekend! Mostly off trail riding for me, but could have put on a couple hundred miles easily on forest roads and some of the marked trails.
It was great seeing old TY ride friends and meeting new TY ride Virgins!!

Yummy!! oh, and the chili was great too!! lol (Inside joke, just ask Shaggy's wife)

My vote goes to Pro116's chili !!!

Thanks Tom for dedicating so much of your time to the site and its members!
And a big thanks to Mark and Jen for all there efforts also!!

Some of us are talking about having a summer get together at Silver Lake sand Dunes located Just north of Muskegan, MI right on Lake Michigan.
"First Annual Silver lake Sand Dunes TY ride" if its OK with MrSled that we name it that.
I will get some pics and info up soon if you are not familiar with the dunes. Great time for all ORV's from Dirtbikes, quads, jeeps, sandrails and even everyday 4WD drivers(my buddy took his stock Suburban there with no issues). My dune ride is in my signature below.Check out these videos for an Idea

NICE!! Did I miss the "PE Crew" ride down the hallway, or did it get cancelled!! lol Not sure I would have remembered it even if it did happen :drink:

Great weekend everyone.

Nice to meet the new members too...Gina, Jim, Michele and Brian...
You guys were a blast!

nice meeting those I had not bet before and of course great seeing all the familiar faces.

Next year will be even better as this family really grows!

I"m all for the dunes...

And Peter...yeah it really was not that bad at all. This video was the trail to GM. Actually all things considered the trails held up ok all the was they Saturday. Sunday they were getting pretty poor, but still plenty to ride. Hell I'll ride dirt...I don't care...LOL

Awesome !!!

I was really impressed with the EPS. I don't know why Yamaha was worried that the conditions would mask the benefit of the EPS. I have never felt steering anywhere near that stable at 100+ mph on rutted trails before. I felt I could have let go of the bars (if I had a way to lock the throttle open) and it would have gone straight. To describe further, the sled moved around due to the constantly changing track and conditions, but there was very little need to make the constant corrections that triple digits usually brings to the table.

I purposely rode the 2010 sled on the same trip so I would have an accurate comparison.

I also noticed the EXUP. It is a subtle difference, but I am convinced that side by side through varying conditions (shift out - backshift - shift out) it will gain sled lengths over the same sled without it.

On a side note:

Sorry Mark if I startled you with my high-speed pass on the old Adams trail. I did get slowed down quite a bit when I passed your group from my WOT run, but still went by pretty quick. Very few know that un-maintained trail is there so I wasn't really expecting you guys.

If any of you were annoyed by the pass, you may be happy to note that I blew a belt on my very next pass. Sounded like a shotgun going off when it went. What a mess it made with both clutches jammed up with fibers, and fuzz everywhere on the sled.

We put on 30 miles all morning, and then added 20 in about 15 minutes.

Constant smiles all day both days, I cannot even begin to tell how much fun I had.

Yes, Scott does fall off his sled a lot, but you have to admit he does it very well.

Scott: Can you get Dwight to post his video, or at least parts of it. He can email it to me if he likes.

Dave: you do realize that you have now been bitten again by the off-trail bug? One can only withstand so many of these bites before becoming hopelessly infatuated with off-trail riding.

Thanks to all who let this old guy ride along with them. Too many to name, and with my memory I would mess it up anyway. But glad each one was there !!!

Thanks Tom, Mark, Jen, and everyone else who contributed. Reminded me of the early TY rides.

Ironically, I saw Rick and Gina at the BP where US-2 and M-77 meet. They wished that they could have been there too.

I guess you snooze you looze... you have to have some TY faith :)... I had a great time and very very happy how it all turned out... and Mark and Jen great job!!

Hey Ding...want the whole thing or just the good parts? I was going to put a 10 minute (or so) vid together with the good parts. Want to show your kids that you can still launch a sled?
