I purchased an 2010 Nytro with 5400 miles and the original owner had the track upgraded to a 1.75 lug. He never removed the tunnel protectors so those are all ripped up. I was riding this past winter and broke my diveshaft and need to replace. I've read there are upgraded COG wheels needed for the 1.75 track and looking for someone in Michigan to do the work. I had just replaced the speedo bearing when i purchased it (nov 2017) and put about 400 + miles on it before the drive shaft broke. It was a clean break and no fluid drained out.
I'm located in the metro Detroit area and looking for someone to replace the shaft and also upgrade the cog wheels which i think were implemented in the 2013 nytro xtx when it came with a 1.75 track. I've been told you can buy the shaft with wheels already pressed in place but can't seem to find that online and i live in an apartment so work space is limited. If anyone has recommendations on someone in lower Michigan that can do this work please let me know. I want to get her up and running before the season starts.
You can contact me on here or email
Thank you

the newer apex and vector sleds have a larger diameter hex shaft. I will do some research to see if they would fit a nytro.
I have good used stock shafts and can install extrovert drivers on the shaft for you.
Did your speedo bearing go out completely when you replaced? I feel most shaft failures are result of being run with a blown or excessively worn speedo bearing.

The speedo bearing we removed was still sealed and looked good. No leaks and seals looked good.
I have a buddy with an Apex and he said that was something I should replace as well (due to mileage when i purchased it) . Then on our 3rd ride of the season the shaft snapped. From what i read there are different drive wheels for that 1.75 track which i don't have and i'm a bigger guy so not sure if that caused the extra stress when trying to pull the front end up all the time.
we had looked on barn of parts after we trailered it back and saw some shafts but not sure what will work on the 2010 xtx. There is a lot of conflicting info in these forums so really want to be sure i can get the best upgraded shaft and drive wheels for that track.
I appreciate any help you can provide

I never thought there was an issue with the drive shafts. 12000 miles on mine and just installed my third 1.75 backcountry. 2nd set of drivers.
