Can somebody please tell me how many inches or MM of threads that are showing on their 2011 and newer Apex for trail riding. I think mine are wound way too tight. (too much thread gap between collars)

Also, can you please give me a good general setting of the top and bottom clickers for trail riding.

I cannot seem to get my front end dialed in.

Thanks.

If you taking about the collar up at the top it's holding the resivoir on the shock body, there are two collars right on the top of the spring tightened together. I used to run my rebound as soft as it goes and my comp on about 4.

I have my GYTR's set like this. Top 4 clicks away from full hard and the bottom in the middle.
And for the springs lift the front end and back off the nut until the springs are loose. Then put in one full turn of preload into them.

it might be easier for me to take an accurate measurement with a caliper, length of threads showing.

Steiner, would that be TOP, 4 clicks out counter clockwise? and somewhere in the middle on the bottom? i have no clue how many clicks the bottom has

For the Top knob. Turn clockwise until it don't turn no more then go 4 clicks counter clockwise.
On the bottom knob I have no clue how many clicks there are. I did count them once to set mine in the middle but that was a long time ago.
Turn counter clockwise to the stop. Count the click turning clockwise till it stops. Set it in the middle.
If you are going to make adjustments do small adjustments at a time.

Using a measurement to set you front spring will not be accurate. Use a floor jack and lift the front on the bulkhead so the skis are off the ground.
Lossen the lock nuts and back off until the springs are loose/ no preload. Then turn in one full turn of preload and lock it down.
Let the sled down back on its skis. This should get the front arms close to parallel to the ground where you want to be.

i need to put a shim under the ski boot, too much darting and not enough pressure at the rear of the carbide.

i have about 1,500 miles on my 2011 Apex. It sat in the crate for 4 years at the dealer until i picked it up in 2014. It's not the SE Model so it has the rear skid adjuster on the side of tunnel.

Here are some pics.

steiner, you post has been very helpful. i need to put a 3/8 shim in the back of ski boot, then skis go back on.

Was just doing the same thing tonight. Trying to get ready for this weekend. Last weekend it seemed pretty stiff.

I rarely post on the 4 stroke side but when I do, lots of help on here
