2011 Std Apex 4500 Km's handlebar risers DuPont slides, studs for 9200$ plus tax.... 2011 Apex SE with floats same extras 10000$ Cdn prices and 3500 dollars for my Apex on trade might be able to squeeze 4000$ or sell private with lots of patience for 5000$-4500$ mayyyyybe. My sled has 16000km's on it but I just got it going really good with suspension work and all. Good deal and jump on it or no? Opinions please.
If you trade it in $3500 for your current apex and pay out $4000+ and you get a newer sled with--slightly different panels ,eps, exup and a couple other little things.dont get me wrong i love the new apex machines ,but for $4000 + ... this is MY opinion.I love my machine ,i know everything about it .i couldnt do it if i were you.

Apex SE
Just picked up 2011 left over new $9,999 in the states. Considering no real difference in the last few years I thought it was a good buy. We'll see.

Murse; My take on it is I figure if you can deal at a dealership for $1,000 per model year including taxes, on a used sled you are doing fairly well. I just flipped a very clean 08 Apex LTX with 15,000kms on a mint 2011 Apex standard with about 7,000kms, picks and duponts for $3,000 out the door.
The prices you quoted for the Std Apex and SE seem a little high to me, but maybe you haven't taken a run at the stealer for a deal yet. If you could deal your 06 Apex for $5,000 OTD that would be a good deal in my books.
Good luck, theres plenty of SE around in Ontario on Kijiji for around $9k or less, some are private deals so you can save $ on taxes.
Good luck!
Cheers, Apexallday!

Can't save as much money buying privately anymore, as you will pay 13% HST when you licence it. The money you save relies on bartering skills and fudging a bit on the receipt.

Re: New 2011 Apex XTX
I paid $10200 (CAN) for mine back in April. It's got 200km on it.
The dealer gave me $6500 for my 08 LTX GT 40th Apex with 5000kms.

Last March I was offered 6000 for my 07 with 14000km and I too thought holy crap I gotta dump this now and get into the new Viper. With a couple circumstances arriving in the following weeks I declined the offer. Now with time I am happy with not getting caught up in the hoopla of buy a new sled. I know with Yamahas plan for five in five that the future may hold better things. I didn't want a 130hp machine. What I wanted was my motor in a new chassis and I haven't see that yet. To me the newer Apex is still the same sled and I cannot, and will not pay somebody to sell me my sled back to me. My 07 will last out the next five to see if something real comes out of Yamaha. It won't be 2015 either. I believe this up coming release is already being released by guys stretching thier Vipers so heres to 2016 and beyond. I hope you can figure out what you REALLY want, rather than accepting what is offered, its your money...Cheers, Scott

Thanks for chiming in I was discussing with my mechanic ( my dad ) and his take was what's wrong with my sled? My answer is nothing. So why get rid of it? I am not sure lol
