Yamaha has the patent for electronic power steering system (EPS) for snowmobiles..Which will be on the 2011 Apex

This graphic is from a patent Yamaha applied for in 2006. It shows the EPS motor at the bottom of the steering shaft centered in the sled's centralized mass..

Yamaha really knows how to keep the interest peaked during pre-release marketing. All the speculation seems fairly accurate....128, EPS, Turbo.

Time will tell........

the days of the under $10,000 sleds are over . big investment for a short season, like boating, got to have the dead presidents to play
