Ok so i was riding with a 2011 nytro xtx last night and he said his handwarmers where on fire. It was kind of warm so idk if it was a fix or not, i know they changed the apex. So I was thinking about just getting 2011 grips instead of yamaheaters.
What do you guys think?

Nobody has a 2011 that they rode when it was cold?

I have a 2011 xtx. I rode in -22C on Monday morning. They got hot enough, it just took a little time and you had to be giving it throttle.
Unfortunately for me I was pulling a bogan so I couldn't go fast.
My only complaint is they don't get warm just idling, you have to be on the throttle to get them warm.

I have a 2011 mtx,the grip warmers do not work very well at all, they seem to be intermittant and don't work when you really need them.

X2 The best part about the Yamaheater is you can turn it on and it will warm up the grips while the sled is idling!
My fingers turn white when my hands get cold. It's much easier to keep them warm when I can "pre-heat" the grips using the Yamaheater.

X3 with the yamaheater they work great ! Best part is hot grips when you warm your sled up. I put it on my "updated" 2010 XTX and have been very happy since. I mostly ride in -15 to -25 C

I may have a Yamaheater to sell ya for $100. I only had 200 miles on it before I upgraded to a 2011. It works awesome, I just need to try out my 2011 in some colder conditions this weekend before I sell it. PM me if you're interested.

I have an '09 RTX that I bought this year as a dealer demo unit with 500 miles that had the same problem. The dealer had installed the factory update and they were not any better. I installed the YamaHeater kit 3 weeks ago and the difference is night and day!
The grips warm up at idle and now I can't ride more than a half an hor before turning them down. They are HOT HOT HOT!
Without a doubt this was the best money I ever spent on my sled!
You will be sorry you didn't do it sooner like I do!
