Hi guys!
Just purchased and installed my 39" Skinz Concept front end, now I`m looking for some suspension setup tips.
I haven't been able to ride sled due to lack of snow and when the snow comes I want to ride as much as possible and not fiddle around with suspension adjustment all the time.
My sled has all stock shocks:
Front: Fox float 2
Skid: Fox float 2 and Fox float XV
The skid is dropped in the lowest hole, I did this at end of last season mostly cause the taller rear end the more awesome it looks=P But I actually felt that the front end became more unstable? Should I move it back to the stock upper hole setting?
The limiter straps isnt touched since the sled was new.
I mostly do mountain riding/climbing but have to go through some woods to get there so there will be some woods riding.
I`m running a Challenger Extreme 2.5" track.
My weight is 165lbs, probably a little more with gear.
As of right now I am running 70 psi in the front shocks, 130 in the center skid shock and 150 in the rear skid shock.
I`m not that kind of guy that likes to tinker around with settings, I want to ride and not spend time on boring adjustments. However I do understand that some adjusting will be necessary.
So does anyone have any opinions on this?
After installing the new track (this season) I noticed that it was much easier to get the skis up, which is really cool but not a good thing when climbing.
I actually had so much fun with having the skis up that I trashed the skid, I came up over the top of a hill with the sled basically vertically, noticed a big rock 20 meters ahead but I just pinned it cause it was so cool having the skis in the air, couldn't see the rock but the plan was to avoid it. I didn`t.
The rock..
Earlier that day.. .
I do my own wrenching but I had the insurance company fix this so I just got the sled back from the shop, new drivers, track, slides, hyfax and rear wheels with axle, everything was broken.
Wellwell

You probably only need about 80 psi in the front skid shock. I run 80 - 90 psi and I am 250 dressed, and the ski's will still lift. Pretty close on the front ski shocks for a average. Seems 60 - 80 is where most end up. Some even as low as 50 psi. I have mine at 75 psi. I think you also need to put the skid back into the upper hole in the rear suspension mount and the front limiter strap is good where it is.

I just got back from riding vacation and will be looking sled over tomorrow and let you know air pressures I am running.
a couple questions:
-front shocks standard or evol?
-what is your rear shock?

2010 TNytro with 162 x 2.5 Camo Extreme. Im 240lbs plus gear.
Just installed Mountain tech Forward A Arms.
Still trying the front shocks. Have them at 65 now & seems way to stiff. Will drop them a bit & try again. Forgot to take the pump with me on last ride.
I have my skid set at 80Psi Center shock, 150 Psi Rear shock.
And when pinned sled will lift 6-8" and stay there till I back out of her.
