Hi;
I am new to thus site and I'm interesed in feedbak about 2011 vector ltx gt. Milage is a big factor, as I do a lot of Canada riding, also dependability and any problems anyone has experienced.
Thanks
Hank

I just picked up a 10 ltx at the beginning of the year, Put on 1200 milesw this year. That sled rocks , i am really happy with it. For Pa. trailes I think its the best yamaha going. It wont go at top end like an apex but its plenty fast. Here is what we found out ( my riding buddy has an apex) The ltx has better low end pull, hooks up better and going up a hill it will be all over an apex. The long track robs speed but gives a smoother ride
Dont know how it will be in canada , you"ll be wide open there
Fule milage" is what it is " I see guys on here getting 18 and more , i think my best was 15-16 but most times if you are running hard its more like 13 or less
No problems , like all yamahas its bulit- proof ....Shim the skies back, pull the strap one hole and spin the Jam nuts all the way up on the front shocks Look up the set-up by CATMAN on this site and go from there.

bood luck/ great sled ,if i had to do it over again , i would !!!!!!

I sent apexhank a PM. I have a 2010 ltx gt with 6000 miles on it. Best sled Yamy has built IMO. We ride hard and it gives 18MPG all the time. Only exception might be pushing heavy deepsnow. performance is solid. It will hang with an Apex quite a while. Feels lighter in the front with very little inside ski lift compared to the Apex(I've owned three of them). For all around riding it's a great choice. The Apex guys are all looking for fuel around 120 miles. I still have 30-40 miles extra range. I expect to order a 2012 with the EPS.

I just bought a 2010 Vector LTX 1200km with a few issues. Hyfax burnt off in 400km. I installed a marginal snow kit, ice scratchers , tightened my limiter strap up 1 hole and am now running my track a lot looser than Yamaha calls for.800km later and I hardly have any wear on the new grafite sliders. I also used Catmans suspention settings and it's great. Mind you my last sled that I had was a 98 Trail touring. I also put on some Dual 4"Carbides which made a HUGE difference on our groomed trails and a higher windscreen made it nice to ride . The clutch rattles a bit more than I would like but maybe there could be a fix for this . My last ride I did 403Km. it was all on good trails at -20 to- 25c and I could still walk after. Just like all the reviews I wanted more the next day. " Great sled" Now I guess my wife needs a new sled , maybe I will Buy a 2012 With all the new stuff EPS stocks etc. for me. Recycle 2010 down to her. I may have to work on this one !! :4STroke:
