Love the air shocks. Best riding sled I've evre had. For two hundred bucks more, you can't go wrong.

No brainer X2. $1000 upgrade for $200. You will get way more than that back at trade in time. Yamaha Canada didn't even offer the base Apex for 2012 so I think that reveals how more highly coveted the SE versions are. From Peterborough, are you looking to purchase from McGregor's?

I have been on my SE for 2 years and the standard Apex over all rides smoother in all conditions. I am not a fan of the Air Shocks. Also the Air shock has left me stranded once and blown once. The shock valving in the air shock is not all that great but the Standard shock valving is superb.

I too have heard of failures in the Megafloat shock and that helped make my decision to buy the standard. Money wasn't the issue, failure was. But the black SE looks so cool.

Black is available this year in the standard.
200.00? , I think there are plenty of guys would be
willing to trade there spring shocks and 200.00 for
the floats if you don't like them. I love mine and wouldn't give them up.

The mega float shock has issues. Mine looses about 3 lbs a week weather just sitting in the garage or being ridden. Never blew mine out, but it lost over 80 lbs sitting in my garage last summer.

Front Floats are not the problem... I like them, its the rear Mega Float... I think you are not looking at the entire picture of an SE trail sled, not the SE mountain.... 2 totally different suspension packages.

SE or Standard? Neither, XTX all the way. Long track is the only way to go.

LOL, they all have their place. If I was you, I would go demo all 3 and you choose.
