2011 seat on previous apex?

Has anyone attempted or thought of a 2011 apex seat on a previous model apex chassis?

It won't bolt right on. The newer seats are like the old Pro Action seats. 2 bolts and it slips right off. No need to remove exhaust caps and taillight. I suppose you could by all the plastic from a newer model, add wiring for the taillight, and figure out a mounting system for all of it. IMHO, not worth the effort.

just wondering, haven't gotten a chance to take the 2011 apart yet, just rackin up those miles

The rear of the seat is a little differant even than my 2010. seat does sit a little higher and have more padding plus the rear sits on somthing almost like a seat jack over the exhaust. I added 1 inch of foam to my factory seat on my 2010 but the newer seat is still a bit higher in seating position.

The muffler area molded into the seat is a lot different...the 2011 is has a square box over the muffler. As Viper_Dave said the way the plastic around the exhaust fits is also different. The exhaust exits on the 2011-2015 is closer together also...almost in the center where the earlier models they are more on the sides.
