Well; just hit 500 miles & sled is really improving with small tweaks.
I did ride at -25C on hard pack groomed trails & have some issues today tho.

1st the hard start issue. my xtx would allways cough & sputter then die 3-4 times every time i tried to start it in the cold after sitting overnite.
Cycling the fuel pump by turning key on/off 3 times amazingly fixed this. At -25C today after cycling thru my sled started right up no muss no fuss! It,s never done that before at even way warmer themps.

Tightening the limiter straps vastly improves cornering & inside skii lift while still allowing the front end to come up when hitting the throttle.
I may tighten them up another notch.
The usi skiis I am using only have minimal darting when tavelling at slow speeds. Anything over 35 mph & darting goes away.
Froze my hands today(-25C) with klim klimate gloves. Hand warmers are better but not great at these cold temps.
Started ride with minimal slider wear with 330 miles on odo.
Smoked em down to the wear line after 2-3 hi speed runs on some long strate aways. The wore at the front bend & right at the 2nd last wheel in the skid.
I was seeing very close to 10,700 on very hard packed strate aways.
Funky gas guage shows 1 bar under 1/2 after 55 miles but mpg is allways close to 15 mpg & we ride hard.
No overheating at all & my riding bud today had to keep finding soft snow on his 1200 doo as his temp light kept coming on. I never had this issue.

So handwarmers still not 100% in cold temps & sliders will get to the line quickly if your not in best conditions.
Everyone with a 2011 apex.....tighten your limiter straps!!! The diff in cornering & inside ski lift helps tons.

The limiter has 5 holes. How many would you suggest from full out, 'cause that's how they're coming from the factory.

1 hole gave me real good results. start there & see if your happy & if not keep going.

awesome review turk, ive only got 200kms hoping to put on a little more in a couple weeks. key cycling makes sense i did that on my old attak when it didnt have the luxury of a heated shop. Ive got absolutely no wear on the sliders but i tend to find deeper snow off trail every 5kms which seems to help

Turk, my next adjustment will be moving the limiter strap up one hole, however, I have already moved the transfer rod about 2 notches toward min on weight transfer while trying to get the sled to not push and have so much inside ski lift. I have 13mm sway bars installed in both as well. Would you suggest moving the transfer rod back a notch or two closer to center line if moving the limiter strap up one hole? Or leave it where it is and pull the strap one hole. 128 models we have. I am also considering a few turns on the spring preload on the ohlins I have up front. Thoughts?

Turn transfer rods back up; suck up limiter starp 1 notch & see how u like it. worked wonders for me. change 1 thing at a time or your gonna be really mesed up.

Thanks Turk.... I will set the weight transfer rod back to center line and pull up one strap hole. Now I need to wait for snow again up in Northern WI!!

Put the transfer rod back to the middle.... Soften up the spring on the rear suspension to min (160lbs rider, correct?) Pull the limiter up 1 hole. Try that.... Then soften your front springs on the front suspension to min with the one turn tighter with the springs ratteling....

i'm wondering if the "assumed" lean idle/low speed calibration is adding to starting problems. most injection systems give the engine a shot of fuel when the key is cycled so cycling multiple times before starting loads extra fuel in there. i'd be inclined to give the CO adjustment a bump and see if it helps with starting. if it doesn't and / or adversely affects fuel mileage you can always return it to stock calibration.

920kms on my SE and after first ride limiter strap cam up 2 holes and transfer rod 2 notches to min. Much better but stock carbides are garbage. Snowtrackers on now and when snow returns I'm expecting good results. Seems to be different opinions on front pre-load. Some say lower front end much as possible, others say more pre-load stops rolling towards corner. Tried lowering my floats pressure and this seemed to make it worse. I think it depends on stabilizer bar. 12-13mm bar would allow you to lower front without the rolling penalty.

I was also wandering about bumping the CO on my apex SE.When I first had my 09 XTX nytro, it started the same as my SE--sort of sputtered & coughed a couple of times before it would start--I bumped the CO to+10 and everything was good to go.Has anyone tried this on the new apex"s yet?

Have you guys tried star tron yetr................ This stuff is just flying off both local dealers shelves here. Use 2 oz. per tank. Takes care of that funky 10% eth. MM.
