Hello, I purchased a 2012 Apex se off another ty member and have been lied to from the start, just to let you know. He said the guage always worked, then after I kept asking he said he lost a fuel nozzle from a gas can in it. Well needless to say,I found a couple things in the tank, and don't get me started on the other lies I was told. Any ways, the fuel gauge is inaccurate, I fill it up and the guage says 1/2 tank..drive a little and guage says empty and low fuel light is on..I rode with friends this weekend and just got gas when they got gas even tho I didn't need it but my guage always says it's empty..what is the problem? Anyone else have this issue? I'd appreciate any help I can get. Thanks

Maybe your sender unit is bent, You know from fishing out a gas nozzle. Looks simple enough to change, maybe install a new one. 4 Screws one plugin just make sure fuel is below the mount. Only 60 bucks with O ring here north of the border. Probably closer to 40 bucks south of the border. Number 9 on the Fiche!

Or you could get a coat hanger and manipulate it so you can hook the float. Fill the tank with gas and pull the float, bending the long arm up until it reads full.

I'm wondering if that is not already the problem. When full it reads half tank implies that the arm may be bent to far already. But taking it out when tank is half full or so (no gas at float opening) one could raise and lower it to see how the gauge reacts, then maybe adjust it accordingly.
