I currently run the pilots on my nitro and love them on hard packed but find they wash a bit in the loose stuff. I would like to get back to a ski that is designed to fit this sled. Has anyone heard good or bad with the new Tuner Ski’s?
I’m also going to try the new Soucy Hyfax. So far the write ups are good but they are just write ups. Any knowledge on these?

I bet the tuner skis will be great on the trails since they are a virtual copy of Kimpex Arrows. Personally, I think they should come stock on Yamaha sleds.
More info on Soucy sliders needed, where did you get this info from?

I was talking to the Yamaha Reps at the sled show last week. They were all pretty excited about the improvements. Then i got my Snow Goer Magazine in the mail and I came across an article with the two improvements.

So you meant the sliders with the Dupont inserts then?
I'm sure they'd help too.

Split Rail
Interesting you say the pilots wash in the loose stuff. I would have thought they would have good grip there.
I run a 2010 Nytro, Was not happy with stock skis, then tried doolies. Still not happy. Went out on limb and put a set a Split Rails on it. Glad I did, changed the whole sled. Handling now is un-real. The worse the trails are, the better it grips.
You know when the trails are loose with churned up snow - almost sugary. These things still rail through it - tight forest trails or open field running.
Check out you tube, Snow trax did a Nytro overview and mentions splits rails. It is a pretty honest assemsment.
Good luck

I was contemplating the splits however i enjoy playing on the water from time to time and was concerned about the rooster tail that these might produce against the Clutch housing.

Tuner skis are pretty cool. I wish we could run them this year. Its against ISR rules though. Maybe a rule change will happen next year. The DuPont slides work well!!

Thanks Yam,
what makes these skis better than say my pilots (5.7)
I will be putting the new slides on for sure and maybe a couple of small idler wheels in the front.
