2012 polaris

Ya I can't imagine it handles much worse than what my apex does without a little help...unless it lifts its inside ski going to straight down the trail...

Im not brand loyal by any means....love my nytro, also loved my 3 polaris sleds before that.

Group i ride with has all four brands, we decided they are all junk lol. If your buying a sled based on looks...well then your not buying a sled for the correct reason, idc if the thing looked like it was run over by a train, if it rides good then ill try it. ride with two new rush pro r 600s. i have not personally rode one yet, but they love them and i have heard great things about them.

two weeks ago i was 5 hours from home....going down a bumpy trail and my lower a arm snaps in half....IN HALF!!! so i conclude with once again, they are all junk lol, and i am pricing out a new rush to try :), 4 year bumper to bumper warranty, they must have some faith in them!

i think the new 2012s are pretty sweet especially in the snowcheck colors. the supension grows on you and i am starting to like it. i havent drivin one yet but everyone i know that has says they love it. a few of my friends drove the 2011 assault and said it was the best sled they have ever driven. and it seems they have there 800 motor running good altho i would give them another year or so to make sure. i am driving my apex for another year or so and thn my next sled might be a new assault.

Since the rush came out I've been interested and always said if they put a windshield on and make it a 136" I would be even more interested.
Last weekend I learned a dealer almost 3 hours drive had a 2012 Adventure to test ride.
Arrived at 9:30am, 3 people ahead of me. Looked the Adventure over and has everything I want. Good windshield, 136"x 1 3/8" track, lots of storeage although does not help the looks and wide skis (made to run on the snow not under it).
My turn to ride, no one behind me so dealer said ride as long as I wanted, plus he had his 2011 600 and 800 if I wanted (did not get time).
Day was foggy and flat light that I could not see the snow, but a couple feet ahead of the skis. Hard to even find the trail out of the yard to a large field we were to ride in.
Sled started and ran fine, abit louder than my rage.
1st thing I noticed was the handle bars are very straight, even stopped twice to see if the end angled ahead as they really did not suit me. They were fine standing up, but I don't do that much. I would have to change this if it were my sled.
Seating is very forward and reminded me of the earlier Rev, except when you come over a drift on the Adventure it tracks perfectly straight. Not much for foot wells to lock on.
Do to the poor visability I never got very comfortable, maybe got up to 60 once or twice riding blind, but mostly rode 30 to 40. Even at that could not see the drifts.
It handled the big drifts very well and could barely feel them, could feel the small drifts alot more ?
In the almost 2 hrs. I tryed softening the front and rear, but since I really didn't know what I was doing I never noticed much change. The storeage rack makes rear shock adj. harder to do.
Before the ride I had thought I might snow check, but since I did not get comfortable like I normally do in a few minutes I will wait till I get a ride under better visibility.
If you can't tell where I'm at with this sled, well I to am disappointed that I really don't know what to do till I get another ride.

Anyone hear how the CFI 800's held up this year?

When at the test ride I had a long talk with the dealer he said the 09 800 was terrible, kept them busy all season. the 10's were better, but still not good. No trouble at all with anything in 2011, Polaris got it together. Said if things stay this way he will have to lay a couple guys off.
This dealer is why I took the long drive. It is like going home, you can walk from the show room to the shop anytime. Not like some places where the shop is a secret.
Prices are not the lowest, but service is the best.
