2012 Vector LTX

In the attached pics, where I'm pointing is the measured distances.

1 7/8" for the front shocks
1 1/8" for the transfer rod.

As far as the Mono pre-load goes, I feel the the compression & rebound settings are far more valuable than pre-load. Yes, the pre-load should be set for rider weight, (that's why I had to back it off for my wife) but clicker settings will control the ride.

I still feel the middle notch is the best place for the Mono to be set, unless the rider is very light ( under 150 lbs ) I weigh 235 lbs geared up & rarely bottom the Vector on the middle notch. If I do bottom it out, I just click the dial another 1-2 harder.

Wow... Catman and others!!

Hauck said they would set it up for 200lbs... on the 2012 Vector RS I am getting. I will have to check to see how close they are to your sittings.

I have no idea what this move and that move to the setup means to rider comfort. Glad to be onboard!

Thanks guys for the great posts on the setup!

I wouldn't mess around with the skis. Get snowtrackers semi aggressive for the new skis.

If you want the best handling go with the older skis and put the extreme snowtrackers. NOTHING is better and they handle and no pushing. They were easy to steer before the power steering. If you don't want to spend that much then go with slim jim's.

Word of advice by the time you buy two sets of slim jim's you will use one set of Snowtrackers.

Catman's setup works great. I don't know how the EPS will be on the Vector as I thought the sled was lighter handling than the Apex because of how the motor sat in the sled but on the Apex it is awesome. I would think it is going to make a great sled even better. It is no BMW or Porsche but it for sure is a high class Cadillac or Lexus.

I did miss the HP on the Apex but like someone else said it is not that much when you are riding trails all day but it is still fun to have the extra on the lake :jump:

Do not put the Extreme Aggressive snowtrackers on the new skies. Only put the semi aggressive ones.
