Did not do any digging around yet, will tonight, was there a chain tensioner recall or bulletin? The sled only has 3200 miles so if it was an issue guess it would have happened by now.

Not on a 2012, that was the early Vector Motors non EFI

post for the sled is gone but that milage is just broken in. good score for your buddy. does not have as long of legs as the apex but will beat you at the pump every time as per the viper_dave being chased by grandpas rage and both those guys ran hard.

Well he picked sled up, super clean. It had the oil message that needed changing 636 miles ago, so doing that. When he took for a ride it was bogging, has two year old gas so draining that out and putting in fresh. He did get a real good deal for 2012 with 3200 miles.

Due to warm up I did not go up with my buddy so he was working on it on his own, he drained most of the old gas and some fresh added, he said ran better but still lacking some power on top end. He rode around the lake to run the fresh fuel through it until the sled ran out of gas. He added fuel and would not restart, no fuel pump sound when keyed up.
I told him to bang on the tank near pump while cranking it, he did and fuel pump took off and she fired back up. He got it back into the garage and ordered a new fuel pump.
Sled has sat a couple years so either running it out of fuel the pump may have overheated or damaged from sitting in stale fuel, he is not taking a chance on pump staying running so swapping it out and I will be up there next weekend with him and will be running it.

Change your drive bearing on the speedo side as preventative maintenance. There is a youtube video on how to do this in french but it is helpful. I changed to the soft start clutch spring from Barn Of Parts this year and it made the sled much more enjoyable to drive
