Looking for some help. I’ve had this sled for about a month, have only rode it about 400 miles it was running great until today. I took it out, road it about 4 miles and it was back firing when I de accelerated. Then it started to not accelerate over 45 mph even when I had the throttle pinned, this lasted for about 10 mins then it ran great again for aboutten min. Then it went back to not beingable to accelerate over 45 mph. So I took it home and have it thawing out. Please help, what can this be? Is it possible afrozen fuel filter?

ToRS system. Look at throttle cable either too slack or too tight. Needs to have a tiny bit of play in throttle lever or ToRS will kick in and restrict engine. Should be getting an error code think it' 84.

I’m not getting the error code? Could it still be that?

You didn't mentioned if you are getting any codes.

Pete

Try replacing sparkplugs cheap easy fix. Could be a plug going bad or loose connection.

If you stay off of the throttle for about 10 sec will it clear? If so adjust the throttle cable.

Any performance add-ons? If it doesn't have the updated Solid State fuel pump relay (red relay) I'd change it out to eliminate that causing any issues.

Donuts? I thought backfiring was another sign of donuts going away? G.B.

I am getting the 84 code now, I checked the throttle cable looks good. Is there a way to replace this cable or to by pass the tors system

Make sure you adjust it to specs. You could also have a bad switch in the throttle block

I adjusted this cable and the sled is still not running well. I changed the fuel relay to the new red and put new plugs in it. Got it to run. Took it out and ran it for about five mins it was running great again. Then it started to bog down Again, thd 84 code flashed again an then went off. RAn about another five mins good then it died. After that I had a hard time getting it started. Finally got it started an rode it home an parked it. Waitjjng about an hour tried to start again an it won’t turn over now.

Please help I am stumped

Does your sled have an after market or taller handlebar riser on it? If so I would recommend routing the throttle cable below the handlebars to keep the TORS from kicking in. G.B.

If it won't turn over check the ignition key plug behind the switch for corrosion and check the starter relay connection for corrosion. check wire harness under steering post above the fuel tank and check it behind the primary clutch to make sure it hasn't rubbed through.

Just pull back the throttle cable plastic and give the cable some more slack so when you squeeze the throttle there is some play like 3 to 5 millimeters. Manual shows how to adjust no big deal. Your still to tight. Give it 5 turns more. Keep doing it until TORS goes away for good.

Also not starting cause cable is way to tight and engine is trying to start with throttle open so won't. So loosen the cable there needs to be play
