I CHANGED OIL FOR THE FIRST TIME AND I MESSED UP BAD THE O RING FROM THE OLD FILTER STUCK TO THE MOTOR I DIDNT SEE IT. I PUT THE NEW FILTER ON RAN IT EVERYTHING WAS FINE. I RODE IT ABOUT 3 MILES NO LIGHTS ON RAN FINE . THEN THE OIL STARTED SPRAYING OUT OF THE FILTER I DIDNT GET BUT 25 YARDS AFTER THE OIL STARTED RUNNING OUT THE BOTTOM I CAN SEE IN MY TRACKS IN THE SNOW AND THE OIL LIGHT CAME ON AND THE SLED SHUT ITSELF OFF. I LEFT IT THERE GOT MY TRAILER TOPPED OFF THE OIL RESIVOR WITH 10 30 SYNTHETIC ALL I HAD. AND DROVE IT 50 FEET OUT OF THE DITCH INTO THE TRAILERAND SHUT IT OFF. DRUG IT INTO THE SHOP FIXED THE OIL FILTER PUT NEW 0W30 OIL IN AND NOW IT DRIVES LIKE #*$&@ IDLES FINE BUT I HAVE TO PUT THE THROTTLE ABOUT HALF WAY IN TO MAKE IT MOVE AND WHEN YOU GET ON IT IT SPITS AND SPUTTERS NO LIGHTS ARE ON AND IT IDLES FINE WTF DID I DO I HAVE A 4 YEAR WARRENTY PLEASE HELP ......
 

any funny noises from the motor? i know these motors do not like to be ran low on oil maybe someone of the experts will chime in but i wouldn't run it till then or take it back to the dealer
 
PROBLEM SOLVED OIL HAD GOT ON THE SECONDAIRY CLUTCH AND BELT JUST ENOUGH TO MAKE IT NOT WORK RIGHT BUT NOT IT ENOUGH TO MAKE IT SMOKE OR MAKE NOISE I FEEL LIKE AN IDEOT :o|
 
Don't feel bad. I'm run I g out to double check mine now as I just changed it and don't remember if I checked.
