I was looking at the service manual and it says:

Quantity of Oil:

With filter change: 3.20L

Without filter change: 3.0L

Total Amount: 3.9L

I think I am missing something here... If I change the oil and filter I understand that I need to put in 3.2L of oil, what do they mean by total 3.9L ? Which is the proper amount of oil to add?

I believe that the 3.9 is what you would need to put in if you did a complete teardown of the engine and got every drop of old oil out of the system. 3.2 is what you need to add when you do a regular oil and filter change, because there is always a little oil left in the system when you just drain it.

X2 - Correct the .7L difference allows for the oil still in the areas of the motor that will not drain under normal oil change procedures. Fill to the XXXX and you'll be good. Just remember after you complete the change and fill the oil run the sled a bit then recheck the level. ;)!
