Has anyone heard if Yamaha is going to offer the dampers for past sleds? My 13 vector could use them, it vibrates at certain speeds. The belt was changed, track tension set, and has no studs.

Was the belt replaced with a new one? I had issues with my 13 one year and it ended up just being a belt.

The belt is new, and it is a Yamaha stock belt. The vibration started at 700 miles and seems to be getting worse, by the end of the day your hands are numb. Been to the dealer several times, and they say there is nothing wrong. Could after market dampers be used if Yamaha won't sell these in a kit? I'm looking forward on a good upcoming season, but not on this sled the way it is. And when I called Yamaha, they did not offer any help at all. I was told to sell it.

There is definitely something wrong, the three cylinder engine is very smooth. If your dealer told you to sell the sled then it's time for a new dealer.

As Handy said there is definitely something wrong with the sled. Numb hands is not something that should happen when riding that sled.

Where are you located? Based on your location hopefully someone can recommend a reputable shop or dealer to help you out.

Wow, nice dealer.....NOT!

I am agreeing with Handy, something is wrong.

Have you ever had a belt come apart? possible bent shaft? I would have someone other than your dealer look at it.

The belt has never broken, the sled has 2800 miles and is all stock. The vibration isn't from the motor, the problen is in the chassis area. The vibration comes through the handle bars and the foot area. This is why I think the dampers would help, I'm in Michigan and only ride the U.P.

wife has 12 vector with 2800 mi smooth as can be,should be no reason to have add dampers.something is bent or loose

Better check your all driveline bearings.

Check the clamps on the exhaust donuts. If they are loose they will vibrate right in that area. At least my brothers did . We replaced the donuts with copper one's and ground the clamps so they would tighten up some more. Vibration was gone!

does it vibrate for one of your buddies as well? brothers 13 rs venture gt does make my hands go numb when I am riding it for a full day. he never complains about it but I have carpel tunnel and am more sensitive to vibration than he is.
