Well I took my sled out onto the ice coated gravel roads with wet snow that froze over night for some long pulls to see if any gains were made with my mods. I added heavier rivets to my tips on my primary and Stingrays air box mod over the down time I had this fall. My rpms I seen were 9150 forgot how to reset the tach. I am not hitting the rev limiter by the small amount of weight I added. That's great. Now for the good news I was able to hit 103 to 105 mph which is also great. Bad news. When I was seeing 103 to 105 the next time I got into the throttle I had nothing so I kept slowing down and the motor would rev like I was in neutral. After coming to a stop I took the side cover off the clutch side and my secondary was still free spinning. I shut the motor off and than the secondary locked back into place. Started back up and everything was fine. Hit 99/101 and I could feel it hesitating than it slipped into neutral again. This time with motor running I could actually stop the secondary from spinning with my hands and spin it both directions. I shut the motor off and it locked the secondary into position. Ok the only thing I did to the chain case is I finger tightened the tension bolt till I couldn't turn it anymore than backed the bolt out 1 1/4 turns and locked the nut down this fall. Ok I am leaning towards it got something to do with the gears or chain. Anybody care to fix this one? Also Merry Christmas to all of you!!!

Sounds like your reverse actuator isnt working right. Maybe take it off and manually shift it into forward. Put it back on and then go into reverse and forward 3 times to reset it. Did yours get the detent update?

Yes I got the reverse update. How would the reverse actuator cause the sled to act like its in neutral when I am rolling forward ?

If its not putting it all the way into forward the gears will just spin.

Makes sense. What about this. My osp belt adjuster is backed out all the way and I have a lot of deflection and it don't ride all the way to the top. Is it possible the secondary could be coming off the splines. If it happens again I am going to try and see if the jack shaft is spinning with the clutch.

No. Is alot of spline. But if its backed off all the way something is not right.

What cannondale said........when the actuator fails (or is in the process of failing) all sort of unpredictable stuff can happen........

Take that actuator off and using a pliers on extension make sure it is all the way in forward. Then look at the detent. Protrusion should be in the groove fully.

I will check into it later. Play time is over and 3 days of festivities are about to happen. Thank you for your ideas..

Oh yes I am very happy seeing those numbers and repeating them as well. Now I don't know if I want to re gear or not might take more hp to pull them.
