2015 antifreeze question ?

I just picked up a bottle of yamacool at my local dealer. 60/40 mix of ethylene glycol. Topped off my coolant. I was reading on another thread that Yamaha recommends changing the coolant every two years. I don't know about that. My manual says to check yearly and add coolant if needed, and to bleed system if needed. Nothing about changing it out.

Coolant should be changed because additives in coolant wear out. Two years seems sooner then I would change it! GM OAT is 5 years, I think that is when I changed it in my Warrior! Should change it again now!

OK, so how do you change it out? I looked in the back and did not see the bleed screw that has been described. And how do you flush it, and with what do you flush it?

Well I went to my local dealer and made a donation to their antifreeze sales to keep Mike & Missy's great little business open , then sent an email to Kevin @ Port Yamaha that afternoon and got this back today , Thanks to Kevin for clearing this up for the future !!
The new blue colored antifreeze Yamaha is using is the exact same blend as the previous green colored antifreeze Yamaha used just tinted to the blue color. It is perfectly safe to mix the two colors of the same style blend. At this point Yamaha USA only sells us the newer blue blend now so when we service older units with the green we top of or replace it with the blue blend. Hope this helps clear things up.
Problem solved , no Smurf piss added and no Smurfs injured in the making of this antifreeze !!
