1st can i get a 144 ice ripper on a 2016 apex xtx 1.75 146 sled
i have several new 144 ice ripper 2.52 pitch tracks
i think the drivers are different but what else needs changed
will the rails be too long
what about chain case gears/chain
and clutching

Why the changeover? not sure if you can stretch the 144 over the 146 rails, you may would need the parts from a 144 skid to do a change over for everything to fit right, I believe the 144 rails are tapered at the rear where the 146 rails lay flat.

if you went with smaller than the stock 2.86 drivers with 2.52 pitch, you could get a 144" track on there. all 146" tracks i have seen where 2.86 pitch.
camso does make an ice storm 150 with 1.5" paddle pre studded in the 146" legnth.

so the 2.86 drivers are larger in diameter compared to 2.52
i would think 2.86 would be smaller for the taller 1.75 track for clearance
to put the 144 on the 2.52 drivers would have to be smaller
maybe the icestorm is the safest way to go (but i have a 144 new iceattak)
thanks for the help
any more info appreciated

2.86 vs. 2.52 is the pitch of the track whereas the Backcountry 1.75" track requires 7 tooth drivers and the 1.5" and 1.25" tracks can use 8 tooth drivers.

I actually swapped out my 146" Backcountry 1.75" track with a Ripsaw II 1.25" track and in doing so, also switched to the 8 tooth drivers. I have now switched to the 1.50" Ice Storm and like it thus far.
