2018 jackets

just seem that they do not care any more it is crazy every other manufacture has better looking stuff than we have. they should let the ARTIC CAT people help them build and design some yamaha jacket . they just do not get it when i go to a Yamaha dealer and want a yamaha jacket i want to be brand loyal if i wanted it to be FXR then i would buy FXR i'm not say that FXR stuff is bad I just want a Jacket that's true to my brand.
Ok look at it this way.... Can Yamaha comitt to a huge quanity order of Yamaha only Jackets to FXR?....answer... probably not so the next best thing is a shared logo Jacket that can be sold by Yamaha and FXR so the risk of non current software is reduced. Get used to the new world of Yamaha in the snomo market where Yamaha is not a market shaker and mover and can not place quantity orders for anything anymore. I'm happy Yamaha is still in the snomo biz even if reduced to just TRF assembly.

I have buddy that sells for a company that sells jackets, shirts, cap ect. and he did are logo for are shop that i worked for too embroidery are logo on stuff and the cost was very cheap with a very small run it was like a set up charge of 300.00 and we not be charged again on the more we ordered so i do not think that Yamaha would be paying much more because they would be ordering hell of alot more i thing it comes down to LAZINESS on there part. not caring.

So you want to compare costs Yamaha /FXR jacket line with personalization job shop?.. not in the same league in anyway ...apples & oranges ....Yamaha is not spending money on their snowmobile division and accessories because they do not want to....no budget to do so or they would. Yamaha in harvest mode not reinvestment mode. Snowmobiles are their cash cow now an near future.

well tell this clothing cost for this stuff is cheap look inside an see where it is made Yamaha is making more money on you buying Jacket ROI the mark up is vey hight. The Fxr rep was just at the dealership i use to work at we where LOL the cost of the jacket & paints he told us that it was like 90.00 per suit. I ask him about the Yamaha stuff an he told us that they are given color charts for the next year sleds and to come up with stuff and them Yamaha says if they like it then it is yes they buy or no. so they do not design nothing anymore.
here is a Jacket SMB -18JMS-RD-3X Mrsp$349.95 dealer cost $ 218.45 Yamaha Cost rough $109.25 then Fxr cost $ ?

I love these "business" men throwing around the business terms I think they looked up online to anylize yamaha a billion dollar company. Your right your able to figure out their business plan and obviously are better at it than they are. Yes there is a lot they need to change and develop and with any luck it's on horizon. I mean until 08 they had shaken their lineup up every cpl years and kept things fresh. Now for past 10 there's really only been 2 new sleds and a sno scoot. I personally feel they are riding out and waiting for maybe a certain patent to fall off of something in the industry or just a few huge jumps to stabilize and then develop a product. They want 5-6 year turn overs on a design not 2-3 like were used to. And the suspension and chassis development has been significant. Once settled in they can come up with a base design and work on that, and the procross honestly isn't a bad one to refine from. Maybe the textron deal was a final step to almost split the ties so that Yamaha could take the plans for this chassis inhouse and make it their own. But let's be honest, if they "improved" on it how many would buy one that currently has viper or sidewinder and how many would do what I would and stare at it skeptically and wonder if they missed something. Chin up and just have a bit of faith and enjoy what miserable winters we have had the past 2-3 seasons the best we can.
