2020 Pics...

I usually come into the corner and let off gas just enough to let the front bite into the corner then accelerate out of the apex.

Hard to gas around the whole corner with 300hp under the hood.

Part of the reason I love 120/129s with no lug (1”). Powerslide through the corner. When you’re ready for the track spin to stop, straighten out pull your weight back and try to stop grinning.

I have an 08 rtx nytro that lifts skis all the thw time. Loosened front straps all the way and it's very playful. Im not a lake rider. I like ditch banging and trail riding. I just got a 17 ltx winder and I Loosened front straps and the front is planted never comes up. Im studded with no tunes. Just removed transfer blocks but haven't tried it yet. Don't want to have anything happen to suspension by removing blocks or the rod. I do trail ride pretty hard, but I want the front end to come up when I wack the throttle. Don't care about handling at all. I know it sounds stupid but thats what I want.

Sounds like you should of got an XTX with its uncoupled suspension.

Yep, he bought a good handling sled there, not a point and shoot wheelie machine. Way to bring back a 7 year old post though...

Will an xtx skid bolt into an ltx?
Sure will, you may need a different length track though too. Have a buddy that bought a Thundercat with the wheelie happy 141 XTX suspension installed into it and a 144 2.52 pitch 1” speed track in it. It’s now a wheelie happy rough rider he’s trying to fix as not to be a wheelie happy machine and make ride decent. So far he’s added the rear coupler and tightened the limiters and made it steer real hard and ride even rougher. He hates it and is trying to correct it further. LOL!

I recall having a 141 XTX in the shop at one time and also hated it myself on the test ride. The skis never ever set down at any speed when on the throttle and same effect with the ride. I thought it was really rough but the owner had the rear shock set on full stiff compression setting to prevent too much transfer also, and the big lug track wasn’t even studded. You could never steer it while on the gas, total point and shoot sled made for deep snow is all it was good for. Makes for good photos while the skis were in the air I’m sure. A ski-doo guy may like that as they feel real fast when the skis are 2 foot in the air.

It was the only reason I traded mine in for the 2019 137.
They bottom too easily also.

Look at it this way, you don't need power steering if the skis are never on the ground. :p
