2020 Yamaha Sidewinder SRX IQS to QS3-R conversion.

This is on my list of mods; miissing rebound dampening on the new SRX.

BTW, trails are 10/10 up here right now!

Could ride the old srx on those trails? QS3-r shocks in IQS should have been on the last year.

We were actually talking about exactly this at our lunch stop yesterday. Conditions are as good as you'll ever get for ripping the old 3 cylinder SRX. If I had one to ride, it's what I would have taken!

Enjoy it!! Sounds like a blast.

The rebound adjust on the back shock is great. It really made a difference once getting it set. The sled doesn't try to buck me off now with a 1 turn adjust on it. The front rebound adjustment is really noticeable too

I noticed you have the front springs opposite of how they came stock on the sled did you notice a difference doing that?

Thanks

I am guessing that with the dual rate spring, that is the only way they would fit.
I will say though, be careful with snow packing into the bottom of that spring and limiting shock travel, ask me how I know!!!

You are correct, They didnt work well, changed them to the correct straight rate spring.

did the straight rate spring add any ride height? Did it improve your ride? was the spring need because of the QS3R's valving?

It helped to maintain the ride height, it was much better ride as I felt the sled sat to low and was short stroking the shocks and was much better spring for that valving.

I guess I'm looking for a set of QS3R'S too....

ok thats good to know kinda figured there had to be a reason, i have seen some on the srx change to the two stacked springs and change rebound valving on the rear shock to help with the ride.

Thanks

Honestly the IQS is a joke. The center shock is garbage and the others are progressive springs with basic qs3.

I saw Travis had a set off a newer cat. I Saw them posted on Facebook.
unfortunately(?) I don't do the book of faces. I will have to call him
