when i am in the mood to buy, i get into specs and ride info more. when not buying i look to see any new tec that might interest me to read up more on. we all ride/drive what we like when we bought it. yes some cannot get to the performance level we want on them in every area but we voted with our $ when we bought them and improve them to the levels that make us happy.
as to the pick up debate, it is the same. i was shopping in 19 for a gas 1/2 ton as a desil truck would be a waste on me as i do not put 10,000 mi on some years and only pull heavy occasionally. gmc/chev loyal as the last 4 trucks where general motors and i went with ford as gm's are too boutiquie for me now. ford and ram i was still able to get the gear ratio i wanted/needed. nissan and toyota where geared deeper witch was ok for me. gm only offers 2 ratios depending on spec level of the truck and you cannot get the lower ratio on the higher priced truck unless you can get it into a fleet order. i tried as i know what a wrong geared truck does for my use just in fuel milage. i settled for the ford as it had all the stuff i need and it happened to be the best price too when i signed the cheque.

We are very lucky to have choices in what we buy, where we live, what we drive, ect ect. What a crappy world it would be if we all drove the same vehicle, rode the same sleds, and tried to marry the same women!!!
Variety is the spice of life.

This thread has gone off the rails.
Trucks now eh. I have to drive Ford, as I can't bring myself to own any truck brand bailed out by hard-working taxpayers.
Not to mention it has boost.....and I love Turbos!

YES SIR!
I was Chevy my whole life.
FORD didn't take our money & stepped up their game HUGE!
DODGE CEO at least took a big pay cut.
CHEVY CEO got paid $80,000,000 and still took our money!
I have some small issues that Ford makes me crazy on, but i'm VERY happy in my decision.
I'm in the same boat with sleds. I hope i made the right decision.
Getting back to 2022 sleds:
Does anyone know if they fixed the top gear or brake bearing on the Sidewinder?

No answer to the million dollar question. Just a reminder of a post from March 2020, here's hoping.
Seems like they are actually attempting to diminish some of the issues plaguing our sleds since 2017? View attachment 154041

I was told by my dealer that the bushing material has been changed. Of course, more needs to be done, but it is a small step for now.YES SIR!

I bought the 200 hp sled!
I think it's a good idea they did that.
Nobody is gonna buy the 150 hp sled when they can get 180, but there is a demand for 130.
So now they have 60, 130 & 180hp four strokes.
Ski Doo has their finger on the pulse
