by the way there was alot of talk about the rx1 with reverse not coming through with the titanium heads & i picked mine up friday with great suprise .

Does either sled have reverse??

Wouldnt take much to loose another 10+ pounds.. Ecp kit,, eliminate tools, and lightweight battery!

GIve yamaha another year and they will have her down another 20+ i bet!

Your math is off, it's 32 lbs not 30 8)

Get rid of the stock muffler and go to a boss seat and there's another easy 20 pounds lost ;)!

I noticed in the picture that your sled has black traction brackets on the rails..

IS THAT STANDARD ON THE 05'?

How do I tell if mine has titanium heads?

sorry, mighty is correct , i meant to say magnesium & it is stamped on top on the clutch side of the motor. when i ordered my candy red this spring it was not conclusive that it would have all of the light weight features as the non reverse model.

The way I look at it is, I get probbibly twice the gas milage everyone else gets therefore I can run with 1/2 tank of gas. That puts me in the same weight catigory as all the big twins. Gas weight is very heavy and I have to stop for a fuel up with everyone else anyways.
