I'm really thinking of replace my skinz 39" front end to the new 37"......but is it really worth it?
My current 39" has only like 20 miles on it and I think at least $200-250 (swedish market :-) ) will be needed between selling my used one and getting a new......donno

You'd be surprised be how much of a difference out 36" kits if from the 39" We were fortunate to get Chris Brown to test our kit for us. He said he liked it much better than the 39"skinz kits he had. It made the sled way more nimble.

I love my Barcode 36" kit. Its probably the best upgrade I've done to my Nytro. Liked it so much I put another 36 kit on the other Nytro I just got.

I think you'd be surprised. Have you tried moving your skis into the narrow stance position which is around 37?

I have had the 39 skinz on now for 2 seasons and I am going to a 37" spindle spacing this season. I decided to build my own front end, rather than buy one, but I am changing everything from the handlebars to the skis to test a theory I have about 4 stroke mountain sleds in general, but that's a discussion for another thread.

I ran my skinz with the skis set at 39 for a while but mostly ran it at 36.75" which IMO is way more fun. The narrowed sled is super quick side to side and seems to be more stable when banking even with the narrower stance. I've had more than a few laughs at friends who have tried it and nearly pulled it into the trees while banking thinking it turns like a standard MTX!

I think after riding my Summit XM now for a season (and it's even narrower at 35.5") it confirmed the advantages of a narrow stance in powder. Banking and quickness side to side come to mind. Also it is easier to maneuver when riding thru tight trees.

Disadvantages? Yeah, it sucks on the trails, but I don't really use it enough on trails to really care.

BTW Whitewheels, if that's your sled in your avatar, it looks killer...

OTM

Ok.
Haven`t tried the narrow stance on my skis,it looks so strange ; ) ......but I will try this to get the feel o a narrower stance at least.
Manny guys here in sweden run 36" ,mostly home made . I don`t care about the lack of trailperformance with narrower front end.
Well I`ve decided to not get the 37" and stick with my 39" as my budget don`t allow it this year. Maybe cut my 39" up next year and make a 36" skinz special :D
(and thanks : ) , it´s my sled)
