dame these are some slick looking shocks , just got a new set with the new 39 inch skinz A arms today in the mail , my season is over but gives me something to look forward to next winter on my first ride , i'm looking at putting my new ones on today , have a couple questions and need a little advice

the book says to have the chambers down and the rod end up at the top , thats just backwards from the fox float 2 i had on , i have seen pictures of guys running them with the chambers at the top ,

can you guys that have them tell me if you see any troubles with running them at the top , it would make more sense to have the chambers at the top so you wreck them if you hit something , i think would be less money to get a new dinged rod then have to replace the chambers ,

just looking for opinions and see what those who have them installed , also do any of you have them plastic guards on the rod end ,

pressure , these going on my nytro with 162 , i weigh 200 lbs , whats a good starting point for air pressure ,
thanks

From what I have read people mount them with the chambers down so it is easiers for them to adjust the air pressure on them. But dont quote me on that that is just what I have read around here.

well here's the thing , i thought so also , but with these new ones the bushing have them only being able to mount with the chambers at the top side , the bushing on the rod end is bigger and will fit only on the bottom ,

The bushings are removable. Pop them out and change them up!

do you run your rod ends up or the chamber ends up , and i think these bushing were pressed in to fit for the skinz front end

rod ends are the same for most of the float 2's, evols, and others that you get in the aftermarket.

You might have to take a wrench to them (twist them) but the should just pop out. I run arctic cat coilovers... well, I am going to.

Had those bushings in my floats though..

Chamber up in my case. The only disadvatage is its more difficult to get to the adjuster. But my way of looking at it is it won't get caught by a tree either.

600km's on the skinz with the evolR with chambers up....no issues.

OTM

my thoughts exactly

thats what i'm going to do , and i'll put that red adjustment to the backside , sooner be able to add air to the shock and extra chamber easy , so i will install them at the top
thanks
