Hello all

my 05 rx just turned over 4100 miles and I really have not done anything to it. What should I check up on or replace? Clutch, bearings, bushings? ????

I have replaced the rear skid bushings, hyfax, oil, belt and thats about it.

Thanks again for all your guys inputs!

you can check all the clutch bushings and replace as needed. i would go through the front end and check all those bushings if you have not done them already. check the spedo and jackshaft bearings for growling. blow out the clutches with compressed air and run the bugger. should be fine for the rest of the season.

I would plan on changing the Exhaust Donuts during the summer. If it starts backfiring sooner, then go after them then. Inspect the complete exhaust system for crack and/or leaks.

I would clean, inspect and repack the Jack-shaft PTO Side and Drive Shaft PTO side bearings. Waiting until they growl is too late to preclude bearing failure.

I would bet that the Front Suspension bushings could wait until summer, unless you start to hear the A-Arms clunking a bit on the studder bumps.

If you have not cleaned the carbs and are loosing some TOP End RPMs, I would clean the carbs.

When you do the Primary work suggested above, also clean and inspect the Secondary. You probably should replace the Secondary's Spring and inspect the sliders.

You did mention changing the oil. But, have you changed the chain-case lube and inspected the chain-case internals?

Have you been greasing the available Zerks?

You might want to take a look at each track clip to see how close you are to having some of these thin out and fall off. These tracks seem to only last about 6K Miles, before they start throwing clips or lugs, etc.

What do your wear-bars on the ski's look like?

Have you lubed the steering bushings and tierod ends, etc.

Just some things to think about.
