436 Studs

new to yamaha, always ran doo's my yamaha experience has been great 1600 miles, but i put 180 1.325 woodie megabit doubles tall nuts down the middle and notice a viberation at around 60 and gets worse the faster i go i was wondering if the ballon effect from only having studs in the middle. nothings hitting, checked idle wheels, all are good. ran this combo on last 3 doos one 192 down middle other one 144 and had no problem. i rode a 06 gt and didn't notice it but its short track and singles all the way across. like studs though for traction, not sure what to do, any suggestion

The double backers don't like the Yamaha drive wheels when they run over them. Go get yourself a set of SKI-DOO extrovert drivers, or take out all the studs, that is the only thing that will get rid of the vibes. 180 studs is killing your MPH!

thanks for the info, rode 1400 miles in canada w/ 4 other attacks and ran numerous types of conditions when we lined up i was 4 mph slower almost every time on gps all stock i was the only one w/studs. waiting to see comments on new ice ripper xt or the drivers

That is why I run the new Iceripper XT on the stockers. Its 5 MPH faster than running a studded track with 144 conventional studs. I use the ski-doo drivers on the turbo sleds with 162 studs and all double backers, as it has the power to pull the studded track. That is alot of iron and weight to be throwing around on a non-turboed sled.

Look here for an idea on the Iceripper.
